Medical & Advocacy Support
If a survivor wants medical care, evidence collection, or advocacy, they can go to the nearest emergency room and request a SANE/SAFE nurse (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner). They can also ask for a sexual assault advocate to be present. (No reporting to law enforcement is required for medical care.)
